West Frankfort woman allegedly throws cup of coffee on bus driver

WEST FRANKFORT, IL (KFVS) -

The West Frankfort Police Department is investigating after a woman allegedly threw a cup of coffee on a bus driver.

Police have issued a warrant charging Misty J. Nelson/Rosenow, 26, with aggravated assault on a transit employee.

According to police, on Sept. 25, the suspect confronted a District 158 bus driver while the driver was "acting in their official capacity."

They say the suspect got into an argument with the bus driver after being told to get off the bus due to policy restrictions.

Police say as the suspect left, she threw a cup of coffee on the bus driver.

When the bus driver arrived back at the bus facility, the bus company contacted police to report the incident.

According to police, the suspect left the motel where she was living and is currently wanted on the assault charge.
