CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - The City of Carbondale Police Department is investigating an incident that involved an aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
On Tuesday, Oct. 9, police stopped Herrin, Il. resident Marcus McGoy, 44, for a traffic violation.
During the stop, officers discovered that McGoy was driving with a suspended driver's license and had three active arrest warrants out of Pulaske County.
Officers also found a firearm and ammunition in the in McGoy's car.
McGoy was charged for having gun and not having a Firearm Owner's Identification Card, for his warrants and several traffic offenses.
McGoy was incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail.
Police are still investigating the incident.
