MADISON COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Two inmates who escaped from the Madison County Jail in Fredericktown, Mo. on October 8 are now facing charges.
Tyler Stephens and Matthew Carver were charged with escape from custody while under arrest.
According to the Madison County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, no date has been set for arraignment. They are still housed in the Madison County Jail.
Deputies caught the two inmates on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 8.
According to the Madison County Sheriff's Department, they escaped from custody around 1:15 p.m.
The two inmates are Matthew Carver, 22, from the St. Louis area and Tyler Stephens, 18, from Fredericktown, Mo.
Carver was incarcerated for an armed robbery charge out of St. Francois County.
Stephens was incarcerated for felony stealing, tampering with a motor vehicle and burglary.
Both inmates were seen scaling a fence in the recreation yard and running away.
The sheriff's department said the two men were found just down the street from the jail just after 8 p.m.
