WEST CITY, IL (KFVS) - Illinois State Police are investigating the Village of West City Water Department.
According to the Franklin County State's Attorney's Office, the water department was audited for the fiscal year of 2013.
The attorney's office reports that a West City official said during the annual audit process, certain discrepancies were identified.
ISP was asked to investigate the situation.
On Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, investigators served a court order to the Village of West City.
Investigators want the Village to provide them with access to West City Water Department documents.
The Franklin County State's Attorney reports West City Village Elected Officials have been cooperating with the investigation.
