SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A Sikeston man faces several charges after the sheriff says he threatened his father with a knife.

James Dylan Revelle, 21, of Sikeston is charged with the Class B misdemeanor of trespassing in the first degree, the Class C felony of domestic assault in the second degree, the Class D felony of unlawful use of a weapon, and the Class C felony of delivery or concealment of a controlled substance into a jail.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says a deputy responded to 215 Llewella Street in Morley in reference to a disturbance on Oct. 3.

Walter says Revelle unlawfully entered his father's home after being told several times not to. Revelle stayed even after being told to leave the property.

At one point, Revelle and his father were in the front yard when Revelle drew a knife and threatened to cut his father's throat. When his father went back in the house, Revelle attempted to enter by kicking the front door.

Revelle was arrested. The deputy asked if he had anything illegal on him before arriving at the jail. Revelle said he did not. A small amount of marijuana was found in Revelle's wallet during the jail intake process at the Scott County Jail.

Revelle's bond was set at $5000 cash only.
