KENNETT, MO (KFVS) - Three people faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child after police found them sleeping a home deemed unlivable with five children inside.

They were taken to the Dunklin County Jail.

Kennett officers were called to the 1800 block of Ely Road on Oct. 1 to investigate a report of child neglect. Officers were told that several small children were running around in and out of the home unattended and that the front door was open and not secured.

Officers tried to make contact with an adult inside the home. However, no one answered.
