GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - More felony charges have been filed against Cory Jones and Kayla Cagle, according to Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon.
Jones and Cagle were arrested on Friday, Sept. 26 after a traffic stop in Mayfield that led deputies and Kentucky State Police Troopers to charge the two with three counts of second degree burglary, tampering with physical evidence and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Two detectives from the Obion County Sheriff's Office in Tennessee met with Graves County deputies on Sept. 30, to look over the numerous items of suspected stolen property that was recovered on Sept. 26.
More than $1,000 in property that was recovered from Jones and Cagle was identified as property that was stolen in a residential burglary in Troy, Tenn. on Sept. 7.
Sheriff Redmon said the burglary victim also came to the sheriff's office and identified more items on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
Jones and Cagle now have additional charges of receiving stolen property under $10,000, a class D felony.
Warrants from the Obion County Sheriff's Office for burglary and theft are expected to be served on Jones and Cagle for the burglary in Troy, Tenn.
Jones and Cagle are still being held in the Graves County Jail.
