2 arrested after attempted thefts throughout Dyersburg

DYERSBURG, TN (KFVS) - Two suspects were arrested near Reagan Levee for the recent attempted thefts of utility trailers across Dyersburg. 


Dyersburg police stopped the car earlier Tuesday morning on the Highway 51 Bypass. 

Officers were on the lookout for the car that was seen on surveillance video where two suspects attempted a burglary in Southview Cove. 

That same vehicle also matched a description that attempted a similar theft on Sampson Avenue. 

The two people in t car were identified as Roy Prince, 40, of 613 Jenkinsville-Jamestown Road and Jennifer Johnson , 30, of 1140 South Highway 51 Bypass. 

Two were charged with attempted theft of more than $1000. 

Prince and Johnson were taken to the Dyer County Law Enforcement Center. 

The investigation continues into other possible cases involving the pair.
