CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - More than two dozen people came out to the 9th Annual Louis J. Lorimier Memorial World-Famous Downtown Golf Tournament in Cape Girardeau on Sunday.
The nine hole course features a unique birdie ball in place of the traditional golf ball.
Proceeds from this event go towards improving the Red House Interpretive Center in Downtown Cape Girardeau.
Organizers say around $2600 was raised from this event.
The event features 9 holes that pepper the downtown area.
Holes include hitting the ball into the fountain on Lorimer St. between the alleys in downtown, and along the riverfront.
