The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department has released the names of the three people found dead at a home near Fenton.

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call to the 600 block of Walnut Ridge in Fenton at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Deputies were initially unable to enter the home due to high levels of gas. After fire officials ventilated the home, deputies were able to enter the home and found three people dead inside. They were all relatives and lived in the home.

The victims have been identified as Smail Zukic, 64, Asija Zukic, 55, and Snead Zukic, 31.

A vehicle belonging to one of the victims was left running in the enclosed attached garage. The house was filled with carbon monoxide and is believed to be the cause of their deaths.

A family member found one of the victims in a recliner; the other two were on mattresses.
