You may notice some extra cars around the campus of Southeast Missouri State University on Thursday.

That's because students are moving back to campus in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Towers complex opened at 6 a.m. for students to begin moving in with the help of volunteers.

A freshman talked to Heartland News about starting her new life at Southeast.

"I'm excited, and I was kinda nervous," Mariena Carter of East Prairie said. "But then you get here and everybody's so nice, and I was like okay - I'm excited, I'm gonna rock this year!"

A whole weekend of activities are planned. Classes begin Monday, August 25.
