A Mayfield, Kentucky man was arrested on various charges in the Graves County High School parking lot on Wednesday, according to Sheriff Dewayne Redmon.

Brett P. Eigenrauch, 23, was charged with operating a vehicle without an operator's license, DUI first offense, possession of controlled substance first degree - meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to wear a seat belt, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possession of a deadly weapon on school property.

According to Sheriff Redmon, an officer was sent to the high school around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday to help Graves County School police officer with a non-injury crash on the parking lot.

Sheriff Redmon said Eigenrauch was pulling in a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu into a parking spot in the school parking lot and allegedly hit another vehicle.

A Kentucky Department of Alcohol Beverage Control officer saw the crash while waiting in the parking lot to pick up a student.

According to the sheriff's office, Eigenrauch tried to leave the scene of the crash, but was stopped by the ABC officer.

Sheriff Redmon said it was determined that Eigenrauch was allegedly under the influence of meth and possibly other drugs. He said he also did not have a valid Kentucky driver's license.

After searching the vehicle, an officer allegedly found meth, drug paraphernalia and a large knife in a sheath that was concealed inside a bag in the car.

Eigenrauch was taken to the Graves County Jail.

The owner of the vehicle, 18-year-old Rachael Hutson of Murray, was cited for expired Kentucky registration and for permitting an unlicensed person to operate a vehicle.
