MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) -

Murphysboro police have arrested a man in connection with an aggravated robbery at a video store on Aug. 12.

On Thursday, Aug. 14, police say they identified the suspect and arrested him, 34-year-old Armond Clemons, at 4:01 p.m. at 15th and Logan in Murphysboro.

Clemons is being held at the Jackson County Jail on an arrest warrant for aggravated robbery with a bond of $500,000

They say the investigation is ongoing.

An employee told police a man came into the Family Video at 1617 Walnut Street around 9:48 p.m. on Aug. 12 and demanded money.

They say the suspect implied he was armed, but the employee never saw a weapon.

The suspect left the store on foot with an undetermined amount of money and reportedly ran south.
