Daycare worker facing child abuse charge in St. Francois County

FARMINGTON, MO (KFVS) -

A woman faces a child abuse charge in St. Francois County, Missouri.

According to police, Natasha L. Agnew, 24, is accused of grabbing a child around the throat, choking him and scratching him on August 7, 2014.

The child was bruised on his neck and throat area, according to a police report.

The prosecutor's office confirms Agnew worked at Abundant Blessings daycare in Park Hills, Missouri.

Agnew reportedly told investigators she handled the child too roughly and regretted her actions.

The prosecutor says she faces a felony charge of abuse of a child. A bond request was set at $25,000.
