LONE OAK, KY (KFVS) -

The McCracken County sheriff's office is asking for the public's help in finding a man who robbed a store in Lone Oak, Kentucky on Saturday.

Around 2:13 p.m., deputies responded to an armed robbery at Cash Express, 3331 Lovelaceville Road in Lone Oak.

An employee called 911 and said a heavy-set white male wearing a camouflage bandana came into the store and walked directly behind the counter.

The employee told officers the suspect, who was armed with a knife, made mention of the safe and money drawer.

The employee then opened the safe and drawer. The suspect took an amount of money and left the business.

The suspect is described to be a white male, between 5'10” - 5'11” tall and has a stocky build. He was wearing prescription type glasses, camouflage pants, a gray or green t-shirt and a camouflage baseball hat.

The suspect also had short brown hair and is believed to have facial hair.

Surveillance video revealed the suspect might have been driving a silver or gold Dodge van.

Call the sheriff's office if you have any information.
