According to Kentucky State Police, it happened around 4:15 a.m. on Interstate 24.

Police say the 52-year-old driver, Christopher Winn from Kansas City, Missouri, fell asleep.

His Caravan went into the median.

The driver over corrected and the van crossed the eastbound lanes before hitting a guardrail at the 43-mile marker. The van ended up in the ditch.
