BEAVERCREEK, OH (WHIO/CNN) – The Ohio Bureau of Investigation is looking into a fatal shooting at a Walmart.
Police say John Crawford waved a “rifle-type” weapon at customers inside the store on Tuesday night. Crawford was shot and killed after he refused to follow their orders.
However, his girlfriend says she was with him and he did not have a gun. She says he may have picked up a fake fun from the toy aisle.
Authorities say a customer was running from the chaotic scene and collapsed. She later died at the hospital.
Investigators say the officers involved in this shooting have been placed on administrative leave.
