Bertrand woman accused of assault, theft

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Bertrand, Missouri woman was arrested recently in connection with a report that she tried to steal a car.

Holly Suzanne Parker, 32, was charged with theft/stealing of property valued at more than $500, domestic assault in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child first degree.

She's in the Mississippi County Detention Center with a bond set at $25,000.

According to Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore, the investigation began on Saturday, Aug. 2. An county resident reported to an officer that Parker tried to steal her car, and then assaulted her after she refused to hand over her keys.

Parker allegedly stole the victim's cell phone, credit card and other property before leaving the home. She also allegedly put an infant in danger because she was carrying a baby when she allegedly initiated the attack.

Deputies found Parker in Diehlstadt and then took her to the Mississippi County Detention Center.
