MANCHESTER, TN (WSMV) -

Seven children were injured in a crash along I-24 eastbound, Saturday evening.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 5 p.m. in Coffee County near mile marker 125, which is between Manchester and Monteagle.

The preliminary investigation shows that Zhameca L. Hall, 41, was driving a Ford Econoline Van  east along I-24 when it blew a tire, causing it to crash.

The vehicle was occupied by four adults and seven children between the ages of 1-14.

Officials say some of the children are members of a dance team from the Nashville Area.

Three people, including two children were flown to local hospitals.

The others were transported by ambulance to Manchester Medical and Vanderbilt Medical Center. All the patients are in stable condition.

According to THP, a portion of I-24 had to be shut down for almost 2 hours for EMS and helicopters to get all the patients treated and transported.

Officials say charges are pending for Hall.
