MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A former Marshall County high school coach has been indicted on multiple charges.

The Grand Jury returned a bill indicting Ronald Barnard with solicitation of the use of a minor in a sexual performance, use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities, sexual abuse first degree and distribution of obscene matter to minors.

Barnard will be arraigned on August 4.

Special Prosecutor Jeffrey Prather, assistant attorney general, will be prosecuting the case.

In June, Barnard waived his preliminary hearing.

The Marshall County sheriff said the victim is a 15-year-old student.

The investigation into the alleged crimes started more than six months ago.
