TORONTO (CBC/CNN) - Mayor Rob Ford is expected to return to city hall Monday after a two-month leave of absence to deal with his substance abuse.

A press release issued on Friday said Ford will speak to members of the media and the public Monday afternoon.

Canadians are also expecting to see a much slimmer Ford. He's said to have lost about eight pant sizes during his stay at rehab.

Ford attracted international attention after acknowledging he smoked crack.

Ford's brother, a city councilor, said he is eager to return to office and is excited to rejoin the mayoral race.
