Hacker boosts grades, attendance records for high school students

ORANGE, NJ (WABC/CNN) - Education officials are trying to figure out who hacked into a high school records system and handed out better grades.

Some Orange High School students whose grades were improved say they've been punished for the change, even though they say they had nothing to do with it and didn't know it had happened.

Attendance records were also changed for the better.

School officials say they're still investigating.

The county prosecutor's office is also looking into the case.
