SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) - Scott City School officially broke ground on Monday, June 16 for the new Visual and Performing Arts Center.

The building is being mostly funded through a FEMA grant because the building will be used as a shelter for severe weather.

The process to build the shelter began in 2010 and was finalized in April of 2014.
