    Eldorado, IL (KFVS)- Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with the kidnapping of an Eldorado woman. According to Eldorado Police Chief Shannon Deuel, a 19-year-old woman was taken, possibly at knife-point, Wednesday night somewhere on Beulah Street around 9:30 p.m.

UPDATE at 10:47 a.m. on SATURDAY:

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Ewa Beach says based on data received, a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii at this time. 

UPDATE at 10:44 a.m. on SATURDAY:
Official say the magnitude of the earthquake near the Solomon Island has been downgraded to a 7.8 magnitude event and that a destructive tsunami was not expected to impact the Pacific region. 

At this time, there has not been a tsunami advisory of any kind issued for Hawaii.

UPDATE at 10:38 a.m. on SATURDAY:
A magnitude 8.3 earthquake struck an area near the Solomon Islands on Saturday morning, and authorities are currently evaluating the threat of a tsunami to different regions of the Pacific, including Hawaii.

As of 10:38 a.m., a tsunami warning was not in effect for the Hawaiian Islands but had been issued for the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea. 

Authorities say it is not known that a tsunami was generated, and all statements now are based only on the earthquake evaluation. 

Any tsunami event in Hawaii would like impact the islands at approximately 5:22 p.m. on Saturday. The tsunami threat to Hawaii is still being evaluated.
