Prescription take back event planned in Jackson

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) - On April 26, the Jackson Police Department and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) are giving the public a chance to rid your home of unused prescriptions.

Potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs can be dropped off at the Jackson police/fire complex at 535 Hope Street.

No liquids, needles, sharps will be accepted. Only pills and patches can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Jackson Police along with fire crews will conduct child safety seat checks free of charge.
