Kennett residents vote to prohibit smoking in public places

KENNETT, MO (KFVS) - Residents in Kennett, Missouri passed a ballot to prohibit smoking in public places.

On Tuesday, April 8 voters passed the measure with 68 percent yes.

It prohibits smoking in enclosed public places, places of employment, private clubs, within 5 feet or outside entrances, operable windows and ventilation systems of enclosed areas where smoking is prohibited.
