DICKINSON, TX (KTRK/CNN) - A little girl with a rare, incurable form of cancer got a special gift Wednesday.
Claire Lankford, 5, got the royal treatment in her in Dickinson, TX neighborhood, becoming Princess Claire for a day.
Family friend Jaime Harbuck, who came up with the idea, says Claire loves princesses.
The word quickly spread, and the community got involved.
A local bridal shop provided a special dress for the little princess, and bands played as she enjoyed a royal ride in a horse-drawn carriage, among her many admirers.
Claire's mom and dad were along for the ride, dressed in their royal finest.
Harbuck says Claire has five tumors in her lungs and lymph nodes, and that she only has a couple of months to live.
