LOS ANGELES (AP) - Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn is in Los Angeles to attend the second meeting of President Barack Obama's Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience.
The task force was established by the president to advise his administration on how the federal government can respond to the needs of communities that are dealing with extreme weather, sea level rise and other impacts of climate change.
Quinn will be joined at Thursday's meeting by senior Obama administration officials as well as state, local and tribal leaders from across the country.
