DETROIT (WXYZ/CNN) - A grisly discovery was found just outside of Detroit - bags, filled with human body parts.
The scene was just off I-94 at the St. Clair exit. The report was that trash bags full of body parts, including a human head and torso were found.
Sheriff Tim Donnellon said two people saw the bags being tossed to the shoulder of Fredmore Highway and Allenton Road.
"One was a citizen, saw the garbage bags, looked inside and then contacted us. The second was a citizen seeing someone dumping what they believed to be garbage," Donnellon said.
The bags being thrown reportedly held one or two bodies. They were thrown from a mid-1990s GMC Jimmy or Chevy Blazer. Michigan State Police have the grim job of locating and tagging the many body parts tossed to the ditch and scattered over two rural roads.
