    An engineering firm hired by a Bridgeton-area school district has concluded that soil from schools 2 miles from a radioactive landfill didn't show high levels of radiation.

PINCKNEYVILLE, IL (KFVS) -

Police say a Pinckneyville man is accused of causing bodily harm to a minor.

Eric T. Vuichard, 25 of Pinckneyville, was taken into custody Tuesday by Pinckneyville Police. Vuichard was charged with aggravated battery in that he knowingly caused bodily harm to a child under age of 13.

The state's attorney's office says Vuichard hit the female in the face or buttocks with his hands.

Vuichard's bail was set at $30,000. His circuit court date is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 9 a.m.
