The body of Thomas Hedrick was recovered at 1:22 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, according to the Geary County Sheriff's Office. Family members in Thebes, Cape Girardeau and Jackson mourned the loss of the local soldier who apparently drowned in a Christmas Eve hunting accident near Fort Riley, Kan.
As many as 14 people have been injured, six critically, after a three-story residential building fire in Minneapolis Wednesday morning.
