MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department said deputies responded to a crash in the 2800 block of Lone Oak Road on December 16 at 1 p.m.

According to deputies, Penny Bradley, 37, of Mayfield, had put her vehicle in park while she went to mail a letter at a mailbox. Bradley said when she turned around from the mailbox she noticed her vehicle, a 2007 Honda Odyssey, was rolling into traffic on Lone Oak Road.

Deputies say Brittany Oneal, 22, of Wingo, was going north on Lone Oak Road in a 2006 Hyundai GT when the Honda rolled onto Lone Oak Road and they collided.

Bradley was able to stop her vehicle after it crossed all lanes of traffic coming to a rest in the Banks Grocery Store parking lot. Bradley said when she got into her vehicle it was still showing in park, but had completely gone into gear.

Oneal was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
