CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

One person was injured Monday morning when a small SUV overturned on Highway 34 in Cape Girardeau County.

According to Corporal McCullough with Missouri Highway Patrol, 46-year-old Donna Siggers of Glenallen suffered minor injuries when she hit a patch of ice, lost control of her vehicle and overturned just east of Route U.

Crews had to cut the top off Sigger's vehicle to remove her due to the fact she was experiencing back pain and there was concern over injuring her further.

Siggers, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
