One person is dead and two others injured after a three car crash in Washington County, Ill.
The crash happened Friday, Dec. 13, on IL Route 127, just south of Mississippi Road.
According to the Illinois State Police, a box truck driven by Daniel M. Hodapp, 55, of Hoffman, Ill., was driving north when he lost control and crossed into the southbound lane.
Hodapp's vehicle struck head-on a pickup truck driven by Matthew T. Klaybor, 19, of Dubois, Ill. Another southbound SUV was unable to slowdown, and also hit the truck driven by Klaybor.
Klaybor was rushed to Washington County Hospital, then transferred to St. Louis University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Another driver, Bill W. Baker, 57, of Nashville, Ill., was treated at Washington County Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
