MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Deputies say a man who claimed to be part of a group called the "Mississippi Mafia" is facing harassment charges.

According to the Mississippi County Sheriff's Office, Gregory Alan Kimble, 59, of Sikeston, was charged with one count of felony

harassment.

Investigators say Gregory Kimble called a local business owner and told him there was a quote "hit" on the victim that would be carried out this month.

Deputies say Kimble made a similar threat to a Mississippi County deputy.

Because Kimble has a criminal record, he could face four years in prison for the death threats.

Kimble was released from jail Tuesday evening after posting a $25,000 surety bond.
