JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

A Jackson man will go to trial in May 2014 on a charge of involuntary manslaughter after a deadly crash.

Bobby Joe Abernathy, 34, is accused of being under the influence of marijuana and methamphetamine at the time of the wreck.

It happened in April 213 on Route 34 between Jackson and Marble Hill.

Investigators say Abernathy was driving a delivery truck when he crossed the centerline and hit an SUV head on, killing a 17-year-old passenger.
