Man seriously injured after truck slides into tree on icy road

LYON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

One man was suffered multiple injuries Saturday after losing control of his truck due to icy road conditions.

According to Kentucky State Police, Sam Walston, 30, of Eddyville was driving south on Chestnut Oak Road when he lost control of his truck and ran off the road.

Walston's truck then hit a tree.

He was taken to Caldwell County Hospital and was later taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
