GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A Hickory, Ky. man is facing multiple drug charges after a traffic stop Tuesday evening.
According to the Graves County Sheriff's Department, a deputy stopped 30-year-old Chad Whitis on KY348 just before 9 p.m. in Symsonia.
Whitis was driving in the wrong lane and when stopped, the deputy smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
A field sobriety test was conducted and Whitis was arrested for driving under the influence.
A search of Whitis' truck turned up 79 Lortab pills in a zip lock bag with a large sum of money, believed to be proceeds from trafficking the pills.
Whitis was taken to Graves County Jail and charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and other moving violations.
