10 arrested when deputies issue warrants in Saline Co.

SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

The Saline County Sheriff's Office issued several warrants on December 3 at 7 a.m. in conjunction with Grand Jury action in Saline County Court.

On Monday, Dec. 2, the States Attorney's Office held a grand jury and the warrants are in conjunction with that court action.

The warrant arrests were developed from investigations by the Saline Sheriff's Office and Southern Illinois Drug Task Force. The Harrisburg and Carrier Mills Police Department assisted in the arrests.

Those arrested include:

  • Jeffrey M. Nolen, 50, of Harrisburg, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.
  • Tonya L. Sherwin, 45, of Harrisburg, was charged with unlawful delivery of controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park.
  • James M. McEwan, 30, of Harrisburg, was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of cannabis.
  • Michael A. McEwan, 60, of Harrisburg, was charged with unlawful delivery of cannabis, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful delivery of cannabis.
  • Shannon M. Moss Nolen, 31, of Harrisburg, was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.
  • Alan W. Brown, 62, of Harrisburg, was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park. While arresting Brown, officers say they seized pills, a small amount of cannabis and $829 in cash.
  • Chase F. Soulliere, 21, of Harrisburg, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church and unlawful delivery of cannabis. While arresting Soulliere, officers say they seized three marijuana plants and a small amount of processed cannabis.
  • Donald J. Wilkins, 55, of Carrier Mills, was charged with three counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

Two warrants from the Grand Jury were not related to the drug-related warrants were served:

  • Lendell R. Trammel, 44, of Harrisburg was charged with aggravated battery, criminal damage to property.
  • Jeremiah Watson, 19, of Harrisburg was charged with aggravated battery.

In addition to the arrest warrants, Amanda Headrick, 31, of Harrisburg, was arrested for obstruction of justice, while officers were trying to arrest James McEwan.

    The person of interest in the double-murder and bank robbery in Conway on Monday is in custody. Brandon MIchael Council was arrested in Greenville, North Carolina Wednesday, along with two other people, authorities there confirmed.  Brandon Michael Council was wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of two CresCom bank employees during a bank robbery at the CresCom Bank in Conway on Monday afternoon.
