KENTUCKY (KFVS) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has trucks out treating roadways in six of the 11 counties of KYTC District 2 Monday night.
According to KYTC, they have a couple of trucks out on the road treating bridges, overpasses and other potential trouble spots in each of the following counties:
Ambient air temps are running 34 to 37 degrees. Pavement temps range from 33 in Caldwell to 43 in Henderson County.
Weather conditions range from light flurries to sleet and light drizzle. KYTC said the snow and ice team is mainly concerned about the potential for re-freezing before daylight.
All counties will keep a truck ready to roll out through the night should slick spots develop.
Drivers are asked to use caution and allow extra travel time on the Tuesday morning commute.
