For those who like to do some last minute Christmas shopping, you've got one week less to do it in this year. What's that mean for retailers who depend on Black Friday sales to get out of the red? While some retailers feel like online shopping or shopping at corporate businesses might be their biggest competition this year, the calendar might actually be their biggest challenge. Emergency crews responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 55 near Fruitland Monday. Missouri State Troopers say the crash involved three tractor trailers in the northbound lane.

The Cape Girardeau Police Department is asking for help identifying someone accused of trying to pry open an ATM. They say it happened on Nov. 21 at the US Bank at 3060 Willamson Street in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The report released Monday afternoon into the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown has failed to identify a motive for the attack. According to the report, Adam Lanza, 20, acted along and was solely responsible for the horrific events of that day. In addition, the report said, "unless additional and at this time unanticipated evidence is developed, there will be no state criminal prosecution as a result of the crimes."
