Police: Man accidentally shot at Farmington auto dealership

FARMINGTON, MO (KFVS) - Police say a man was accidentally shot at an auto dealership Thursday. It happened around 12:10 p.m. on Valley Creek Drive.

According to Police Chief Richard T. Baker, a 31-year-old employee of Auffenberg was treated by EMS and fire crews after being shot in the leg.

Investigators say a 63-year-old Arcadia man was removing a .308 bolt action rifle from the back seat of his truck when the rifle discharged.

The male employee was taken by ambulance to a St. Louis area hospital.

Police say no charges are being sought at this time.
