IDNR fracking hearing to be held in Ina, Carbondale

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) has added additional public hearings for the public to sound off concerning proposed regulations of the state’s new Hydraulic Fracturing Regulatory Act.

There is a meeting already scheduled for Nov. 26 the Rend Lake College Theatre in Ina.

Now added is a Dec. 19 meeting at the Southern Illinois University (SIUC) Student Center in Carbondale.

Additional hearings will be held in Decatur and Effingham.

The Carbondale meeting will start at 6 p.m. For more information please visit the IDNR website.
