Campus police look for suspect on bike touching women from behind

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

A disturbing series of reports leads to a campus alert at Southeast Missouri State University.

Public Safety Director Doug Richards says five women have reported being grabbed or touched from behind by an unknown man on a BMX bike.

The first incident reportedly happened back on November 4. The most recent one on the tenth.

It happened near Houck Place which is close to Houck Stadium near Belleview and Pacific streets.

Richards cautions everyone on campus to use public transportation, avoid walking alone at night, and to please report any suspicious activity.

He also reminds students to keep their cell phones handy.

Victims describe the suspect as a white male wearing a blue striped hoodie and blue jeans, late teens to early 20s with long brown hair.

If you see anything suspicious on campus, the Department of Public Safety would like to hear from you.
