Motorists who regularly travel the New US 60 Tennessee River Bridge at Ledbetter are asked to be alert for a traffic shift sometime today.
Two-way traffic has been running on the westbound lanes of the new bridge.
Starting around Noon today, traffic will be shifted to allow one lane of traffic running on the eastbound side and one lane of traffic running on the westbound side.
This will allow an electrical sub-contractor to complete installation of lighting and associated wiring along the median barrier wall.
Motorists should continue to use caution and obey the strictly enforced 35 mile per hour speed limit as this continues to be an active work zone.
Some additional traffic shifts may be required in coming weeks to facilitate finish work on the bridge.
Also known as The Ledbetter Bridge, the New US 60 Tennessee River Bridge connects McCracken County to Livingston County between Paducah and Ledbetter.
