Paducah Police Department organizing welcome home for Officer Guill

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

The Paducah Police Department is organizing a welcome home celebration for Officer Austin Guill.

Guill was seriously injured Wednesday, Nov. 6 when a stolen vehicle ran a stop sign at 7th and Madison streets. The vehicle hit Guill’s police cruiser in the passenger side.

Guill was taken to Baptist Health Paducah and air-lifted a short time later to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

He was released from Deaconess and transported back to Paducah by Mercy Ambulance.

He will be admitted to Lourdes Hospital for further recovery and therapy.

Officer Guill will be arriving at the Marshall Neimer Pavilion around 6:15 p.m. Monday.

He will be greeted by fellow officers and friends in the Borders Community Room before being transferred to his room at Lourdes Hospital.
