1 dead, 2 injured after car, motorcycle collision

One person is dead, and two others injured after a car and motorcycle collided in Paducah Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened near the intersection of Irvin Cobb Drive and Legion Drive.

According to the Paducah Police Department, a 2011 Toyota Prius driven by Ivor Ottway, 84, of Paducah was traveling east on Irvin Cobb Drive. Police say Ottway turned left into the path of a motorcycle driven by Jason West, 26, aslo of Paducah.

West was thrown around 60 feet from the site of the crash, and he reportedly was not wearing a helmet. He was rushed to Baptist Health Paducah, where he was pronounced dead.

Both Ottway and his passenger, Virginia Langston, 88, of Paducah, were taken to the Baptist Health Paducah for treatment. No word how badly they were injured.
