West City family loses home, belongings in fire

WEST CITY, IL (KFVS) -

A Franklin County family lost their home early Friday in a fire.

Jamie Gray called 911 Friday around 4:45 a.m. to report her family's house was on fire.

She says took 20 minutes for firefighters to arrive to the home at 1013 Blakely. West City is a volunteer fire department.

Benton and Coello fire fighters responded before the West City fire fighters arrived.

Family says the house and their belongings are a complete loss.
