2 arrested after meth lab bust in Metropolis

METROPOLIS, IL (KFVS) -

Two people were arrested after a meth lab bust in Metropolis on Nov. 1.

Authorities executed a search warrant at a home on Mt. Mission Road early Friday morning and found a meth lab and meth making materials and precursors.

Brian Sullivan, 50, of Metropolis and Ben Anderson, 46, of Brookport are charged with possession of meth making material and precursors, according to the Metropolis Police Department.

Additional suspects have been identified and arrests are anticipated.

The Metropolis Police Department, McCracken County Sheriff’s Office and the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force investigated.

The Illinois State Police Meth Response Team also responded and collected the evidence and hazardous materials.

Traffic will not be allowed on this portion of North Water Street while work is being done.
