PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Three people are facing meth related charges, according to McCracken Co. deputies.
On October 30, the Livingston County Sheriff's Office and Kentucky Probation and Parole arrested Rachel Rainwater, 27 of Ledbetter, for various methamphetamine offenses. During the course of her arrest, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office interviewed her.
During an investigation, detectives say Rainwater had purchased Sudafed in McCracken County. It was then learned that Rainwater had unlawfully given the Sudafed to another person, knowing the Sudafed would be used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Rachel Rainwater, 27, of Ledbetter was charged with unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor, a class "d" felony.
On October 31, 2013, detectives arrested Allison Nelson, 41 of Calvert City, after learning, she was trying to distribute Sudafed in order to manufacture methamphetamine. Nelson had entered into an agreement to trade the Sudafed for other controlled substances. Detectives found Nelson on the parking lot of the city of Paducah library and arrested her after finding the Sudafed. Meth and doses of Lortab were also located in Nelson's vehicle, according to officers.
Allison Nelson, 41 of Calvert City was charged with unlawful distribution of a meth precursor, possession of methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
During the evening of October 31, detectives assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant at Molloy Court in the Reidland area of Paducah.
Carl "Lonnie" McGuffie was located inside the apartment.
Upon entering the apartment, a strong odor commonly associated with a methamphetamine lab was immediately noticed by detectives. A methamphetamine lab, still releasing gasses from a recent meth cook, was located in the kitchen. Multiple items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine were located throughout the residence. Also located inside the residence was a quantity of methamphetamine as well as methamphetamine paraphernalia.
An official with the Reidland/Farley Fire Department responded to the scene to assist in removing contaminated air. The other tenants, as well as the property owner, were also notified as well as the McCracken County Health Department.
Carl "Lonnie" McGuffie, 39, of Paducah, was booked into the McCracken County Jail on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
